All Good Things...

It's been a while since the last post on the Mr Carruthers Presents...Daily blog and that's sort of the reason for this post. This is isn't necessarily the last post, but it could be.

We've been very quiet of late and the blog has reflected that all too literally. I considered ending the blog this time last year and then out of the blue came a fully edited version of FistKrammer, which spurred us on for a while. I live in hope that we will work together again soon and then this blog may serve the purpose it was designed for again.

The pressure to try and come up with something funny here is overwhelming, but I'm sure you'll agree that the first two paragraphs have been pure comedy gold.

Happy Birthday Andy.

That's not me being facetious. It really is Andy's birthday. I really do hope he has a happy one. Maybe I should have started with Andy's birthday and then built up to breaking the bad news.

Happy Birthday Andy. He shares his birthday with Henri Matisse (the French painter, Simon Wiesenthal (Austrian Holocaust survivor and post-war Nazi hunter), Anthony Hopkins (Welsh actor), Ben Kingsley (English actor), Pete Quaife (The Kinks' bassist), Donna Summer (American singer), Alex Salmond (Scottish politician), Bebe Neuwirth (American actress), Val Kilmer (American actor), Konishiki (American sumo wrestler), Dominik Diamond (Scottish TV presenter), Danny McNamara (the lead singer of Embrace) and Lakshmi Tatama (the Indian girl born with eight limbs).

So a happy birthday to them as well.

Every other year on this blog I posted a Review Of The Year and 2012 should be no different. Join me in a walk down Memory Lane. We'll stop just short of Nostalgia Avenue and avoid Painful Flashback Alleyway.

It's the Review Of The Year 2012:

January
We start the year as we meant to go on: Sherlock Holmesing and silly photos.

February
We spent the longest February for four years with quotes and obsessing about The Fast And The Furious. Yep.

March
The Car Go Fast Now cinematic franchise continues to dominate through March, but still alternating with quotes.

April
After some foolishness, more cars, more quotes, more Sherlock Holmes.

May
Quotes and Sherlockiness.

June
Mike rides a duck and we reach 1500 posts.

July
Horsing Around, The Riddle Of The Sands and mis-spelt tattoos.

August
The Riddle Of The Sands interspersed with mis-spelt tattoos and missing posters.

September
The Riddle Of The Sands less interspersed with mis-spelt tattoos and missing posters.

October
Nothing.

November
Absolutely nothing.

December
This. Here. Now.

And so for the moment that's it.

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who ever read this blog or helped us out in any way. I'd make a list here, but there are so many I would hate to miss anyone out. I'm going to miss you all out in the hope that your collective disappointment amounts to less than a grudge might in one of you. You know who I mean. Yes, you. I can see you.

I still blog a blog here and there are still some Carruthers related subjects I plan to cover on it, but for the moment this is us signing off in hope that we will do this all again some time.

Happy New Year
